Brenda VanLengen has broadcast women’s sports events on television and radio since 1996. A 14-year announcer on Fox Sports Net broadcasts of Big 12 women’s basketball, VanLengen has provided analysis for NCAA Tournament games on ESPN since 1999, including the Division II National Championship seven times. Known for her strategic analysis and ability to break down the X’s & O’s of the game, she has also operated the Super Telestrator for ESPN’s coverage of the Women’s Final Four® since 2005. In 2009, VanLengen expanded her broadcasting to include play-by-play announcing of NCAA softball, volleyball and basketball and co-hosted a national women’s sports talk show on SportsRadioKC.com for fifteen months. Mechelle Voepel has covered women’s basketball since 1984, when she began her journalism career at the University of Missouri. She has watched a remarkable journey of growth for the sport, which continues each season. She has written about women’s basketball for ESPN.com since 1996. During that time, she also covered both the Summer and Winter Olympics, the Women’s World Cup soccer tournament and several professional golf major tournaments.
